Apart from writing, my main interests are reading, gardening, knitting, walking and singing. I also like solving codeword puzzles and the milder end of the Sodoku range. I enjoy watching sport, drama and documentaries on TV, but hate soap opera, game shows and “reality” programmes. I think computers and the internet are wonderful for work and research, but don’t play computer games for pleasure or take part in social networking: I’d rather make a phone call, write an e-mail or, best of all, meet for coffee!
